Gail Priest

Gail Priest is a sound artist, writer and curator. Originally trained in the performing arts, the core of her practice is in sound design for dance and contemporary performance, frequently playing the soundscores live. Recent works include version 1.0’s THIS KIND OF RUCKUS, Deeply offensive and utterly untrue and The Wages of Spin, Martin del Amo’s It’s a jungle Out There, Unsealed, Under Attack and Never Been This Far Away From Home. She also performs live electro-improvisation at events in Sydney and nationally such as Liquid Architecture and has received commissions from ABC Radio. Most recently she co-produced Immersion: Electrical Empathy. In 2006 she released a debut album, Imaginary Conversations in Reverberant Rooms, which has been included in Transmediale, Berlin.
