Jane Phegan received a BA in Performance Studies and Fine Art from the University of Sydney and a Bachelor of Performance from Nepean (UWS). At Nepean, Jane performed in Widows, Red Noses and House of Bernarda Alba. Also, during this time, she co-directed and performed in Howard Barker’s Scenes from an Execution. Since graduating, Jane has worked with director Alex Galeazzi in the Australian premiere of Alana Valentine’s Singing the Lonely Heart and Angels in America at Riverside Theatre. Jane has reunited with Alana a number of times to workshop new material, including Hitting the Bricks, Doing Dawn and Redfern Heights. Other shows Jane has devised and performed in for version 1.0 include X Marks the Spot, From a distance…, Deeply offensive and utterly untrue and This kind of ruckus.
