Yana Taylor

imageYana Taylor has an extensive background as a director, choreographer, writer, performer, researcher and educator. She has been intimately involved in contemporary performance over the last twenty years – critically engaging with artists such as those at Urban Theatre Projects as chair from 1998- 2002, returning to perform in UTP’s The Last Highway (2008), participated in Time_Place_Space 4 hybrid performance laboratory and lectured in performance and movement at UWS, Nepean until 2007. Yana has been a key contributor to version 1.0’s work since in The second Last Supper, working as performance dramaturg/outside eye on This kind of ruckus, CMI (A Certain Maritime Incident) and The Wages of Spin, consulting director on From a distance… and performer in Deeply offensive and utterly untrue. She completed her PhD at the University of Sydney in 2007.
